There's no question, my McLaren 675LT Spider has STILL GOT IT! I'm at the BRDC Trackday at Silverstone with my friends at GAD Tuning, to put the foot down on the same circuit I first ever drove a 675LT. When surrounded by a GT40, NASCAR and 956, you know it'll be a good day! Back in 2015, McLaren hosted the original global media drive at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, and therefore the first time I drove a 675LT myself was right here, on this famous piece of tarmac. My own Coupe arrived around 6 months later, followed by a swap to a Spider the following year; the very same car I still own now 7 years later, with 18,000 miles on the clock. Today I've joined Ant and the team from GAD Tuning, who have done work to my C63 Black Series, as well as running various of the Shmeemobiles on their dyno: SLS Black Series, Huracan STO, and Clio V6. The event itself is the BRDC Trackday with a complete mix of different cars; whereby I find myself on track with a Ford GT40, the Andretti Porsche 956 that raced Le Mans in 1983, and numerous historic racers plus modern supercars. While I've mentioned recently that a big car is soon to be leaving the garage, I'm pleased to say it won't be the 675LT Spider!
