The 2023 Mitsubishi Triton mid-size pick-up finally has a proper off-road-focused rival to the locally engineered Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior and Toyota HiLux Rogue. Enter the aptly named Triton Xtreme. It's produced by Walkinshaw, the parent company of former Australia car manufacturer Holden Special Vehicles (HSV). While not quite on the same level as the circa-300kW Ford Ranger Raptor, the Triton Xtreme still throws the gauntlet down when it comes to 4WDing, offering adventurers even more 4x4 capability - and tougher looks. Simple recipe, right? Well, in this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Dave Morley puts the new Triton Xtreme through its paces on- and off-road to see if really has what it takes to challenge the establishment. Either way, the next-generation Triton will be with us soon, so it'd better be good if buyers are going to forgo waiting for the new model. #Mitsubishi #Triton #Review -- 00:00 Intro 00:34 Pricing and features 01:20 Design 02:19 Practicality 02:39 Under the bonnet 03:16 On-road driving 04:39 Off-road driving 07:35 Efficiency 08:02 Safety 08:35 Ownership 09:09 Verdict -- Read David's full review: https://carsgui.de/3OJZiqB Check out our Mitsubishi Triton hub: https://carsgui.de/2WJB6HC Find more utes: https://carsgui.de/31O97xq Visit our Adventure Guide: https://carsgui.de/3OJZiqB -- CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Visit our website for News, Reviews, Advice and more: https://www.carsguide.com.au Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/carsguide Like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/carsguide.australia Follow our Instagram profile: https://www.instagram.com/carsguideaus Follow our TikTok profile: https://www.tiktok.com/@carsguide.com.au Follow our Twitter profile: https://www.twitter.com/CarsGuide Follow our LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/carsguide-com-au
