No. Unlike the Hero-Harley arrangement, Bajaj is not planning to host the Triumphs in its KTM or Bajaj dealerships. Triumph has aimed to offer a premium experience to its customers in India so far. We can argue whether they've been successful at it or not, naturally. But the key thing is that Bajaj handles the Triumph network as an independent channel with little to no crossover to its other sales channels -- Chetak for electrics, Bajaj for most motorcycles, KTM for premium motorcycles under KTM and Husqvarna brands. This also means that it is critical that the Triumph dealer and service network grows rapidly. A product, no matter how good, cannot be popular if there are no shops to buy it from. In motorcycles, digital retail is always an option but not only are Indians taking to it slowly, but the Ola experience shows that spreading too thin in supporting customers post-sale causes too much negativity and fast brick-mortar expansion, especially for premium brands is a better strategy for the moment. ~ Triumph Speed 400 FAQ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLr0Tor0L-2JP6n7CzPVr54twD1wR890mu ~ Subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss any videos: YouTube.com/@motorinc We’re offering our podcast, ThisConnect, on YouTube, Anchor/Spotify, Apple, Amazon and Google.
