As Hyundai is mulling over the India launch of the Santa Fe, we got to drive it in Korea. And this luxury SUV is huge! Stretching almost 4.8 meters, it can seat seven comfortably. The Santa Fe has a boxy styling but makes it easier to place this SUV on the road. The SUV we drove had a 277bhp, 420Nm, 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed DCT. That gives Santa Fe a top speed of 210kmph and a 0-100kmph time of 8 seconds; that's also aided by a drag coefficient of 0.29Cd. The other engine options include a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre petrol, a 1.6-litre hybrid petrol, and a 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid. While we drove the FWD version, AWD is optional. The Santa Fe is a comfortable SUV with suspension compliance and ride comfort. The cabin is loaded with creature comforts like massaging seats, dual wireless chargers, UV phone cleaner, dual sunroofs and more -- a lot of little things that add to the experience. Editor Sirish Chandran gives us a full download of this luxury SUV in this first drive review from Korea.
