Today two of our amazing ground crew photographers, MLiz Photos & Marti Lord visited the nest and were lucky to see live the intruder action with E21 locking talons with the female eagle as E21, E22 and the intruder all were following M15 who had a fish in his talons flying back to the nest. M15 and the E's were across the street at Yonder pond and are seen flying in to the nest. M15 has a fish in his talons and the intruder is also following him to try and steal his prey. Both E's are following M15 and E21 will lock talons with the intruder mid-air! M15 is able to land on the nest and E22 right after him and claim the fish. The intruder also tries to land on the nest but can't and ends up on the porch. E21 flies over the pond to the office oak. M15 will go to the attic and stars down the intruder and E22 screams relentlessly at her to leave!! The intruder finally flies off and E22 eats its fish. E21 flies back to the nest tree and perches on the attic. Both E's are really on an accelerated path of learning those survival skills. E21 has that warrior fighting spirit and learning to steal just like the intruder does! Remember we only see a portion of their day from the cams - there is a lot of action that goes on away from the nest so our ground crew are an invaluable asset in giving us these amazing photos and stories on the eagles adventures! Many thanks to my dear friends Liz and Marti for giving me permission to show their stunning photography today! Thank you for watching!
