Wow! It was another action packed day with the E's taking care of business defending their nest and prey from the intruder multiple times! The E's are both perched on the front pines and the intruder is on the treetop when they fly in to the nest and flush the intruder out for the 2nd time this morning!! E22 lands on the nest and E21 on the attic. A few minutes later, M15 is flying in with a fish head and the intruder is hot on his tail following him to the nest. E22 is ready to claim the fish but the intruder lands on E22 knocking E22 off balance. The intruder flies to a branch below the nest. At the same time, E21 drops down the nest hastening the intruder's departure. E22 recovers and mantles the fish and claims it. E21 tries to go under and steal it but is unsuccessful. E22 eats the fish while the intruder waits on the branch. In regular time and slomo on the action. The intruder comes back to the nest but E21 chases her off to the branch again. She continues to wait for an opportunity but the E's do not give her one. M15 flies off the u branch while E22 continues to eat. Closeups of the intruder show this is the same female that has been in the area for the past few weeks. The intruder will finally fly off after 22 minutes!! Harriet would be so proud of her fierce and fearless E's who continue to hone their skills needed for survival when they are out on their own. Thank you for watching!
