A 12-year-old female leopard climbs up a tree with its prey to avoid the attack from lion pride. Leopards tend to take their prey and stash them in trees. By dragging what they've caught into the branches, they protect their food from scavengers and predators like lions that might come and steal their precious catch. Leopards have incredible strength and can climb as high as 50 feet (15 meters) up a favorite tree while holding a fresh kill in their mouth, even one larger and heavier than themselves!
