When six young cows escaped a sl@ughtrh0use and ran free through the streets of St. Louis, some thought we were crazy to want to rescue them. They were running wild, unsocialized—but we knew they were just terrified. We would have done anything to give them the life they deserved, and they're the reason we opened our Missouri sanctuary! More than five years later, the St. Louis Six have put their pasts behind them, let their guards down, and shown us how gentle and loving they truly are ❤️ The Gentle Barn is a non profit animal sanctuary with locations in Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO. We rescue neglected and traumatized animals from all circumstances, we rehabilitate them, and when they're ready we partner with them to heal people with the same stories of trauma.
