To start game 5 with the cup in the building, news broke pre game that the Florida Panthers number 1 player Matthew Tkachuk would be out for the game. With their season on the line, you knew it had to be bad and now we know, it was. We saw Tkachuk make some huge hits these playoffs, but in game 3 of the Stanley cup final, the favour was returned when Kolesar rocked Tkachuk with a great open ice hit after which, Tkachuk was noticeably shook taking a stumble to get up and while he scored the game tying goal to push OT in game 3, game 4 was tough. He reportedly needed help from brother Brady just to be able to get out of bed. Well, after the Vegas Golden Knights took game 5, Paul Maurice came out post game and shared what was really going on..
