SUBSCRIBE to PGA TOUR now: http://pgat.us/vBxcZSh This week, the PGA TOUR heads to Cromwell, Connecticut, for the Travelers Championship. This will be another Designated event, meaning the field is full of the world’s best players yet again. As it stands, 37 of the top 50 golfers in the world will be teeing it up this week. Leading the favorites is world No.1 Scottie Scheffler. He posted yet another top-five finish at the U.S. Open last week, where he finished in solo third. Scheffler is yet to finish worse than T12 in any TOUR event since October. FedExCup leader Jon Rahm will also be in the field this week. He finished T10 at the U.S. Open with a closing 65 and has won four events, including the Masters, this year. Rory McIlroy will also be optimistic entering the week. Starting at the PGA Championship, McIlroy has recorded four consecutive top-five finishes. Also, McIlroy is no stranger to TPC River Highlands, where he’s finished inside the top-20 in each of his four trips. Defending champion Xander Schauffele will also be returning to Connecticut. He’s only finished outside the top 20 once in his last nine events, including three top-five finishes, and he played well for a T10 finish at the U.S. Open. Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay and Rickie Fowler will also be contending for a win in Connecticut this week.
