Continuing on our adventure here in the city of Manila we have arrived in another local district, on the outskirts of Manila called Marikina City, also known as the city of shoes. The locals describe Marikina as so different to metro Manila, from transportation to food to social discipline, as if it is a whole different republic. In this episode, one of our subscribers Rick who is a local in Marikina offered to tour me around the city of Marikina. We met up at Marikina Park and slowly proceeded to Marikina Public Market to explore signature dishes and snacks, inside the wet market.
