We finally found Sisig on our last day in the Philippines. It is actually sold everywhere, but we were busy with all the festivals at the beginning of our trip. Join us today, as we seek out this signature Filipino food at the popular Kalui Seafood Restaurant in Palawan, and enjoy a HUGE Seafood feast. Sisig is a savory and spicy Filipino dish made from parts of a pig's head and liver (can include chicken or fish), seasoned with calamansi juice, onions, chili peppers, and other spices. The meat is cooked and chopped into small pieces, mixed with the seasoning ingredients, and often served with rice and a fried egg. Sisig is a popular dish in the Philippines and is commonly enjoyed as a main dish or as an appetizer with alcoholic beverages. After dinner, we wandered over to Gianni’s Gelato for a delicious dessert. This was a great way to end our trip in the Philippines. The kids love gelato and the owner sat with us while we finished our dessert. The vibe in Palawan is really good and we hope to come back again. We know we missed so many more things that the Philippines has to offer, keep sending us your suggestions. We always try to do them on our return trip (since we film videos and then edit/post later).
