June 7th is National Running Day! This day, also known as Global Running Day, encourages people to get outside, go for a run, and reminds us of the positives running has for our physical and mental health. For today, Howard ran to our print shop exhibit to letterpress print an unmounted electrotype of an individual winning a race. There is no sprinting in the printing process, however. Trying to go fast with our 171 year old printing press could lead to handling the equipment incorrectly.
