The song "Historia De Vampiros" by Joan Manuel Serrat tells the story of a vampire who is different from the rest. While his parents and grandparents were traditional vampires who fed on blood, this vampire prefers to only drink water. He is an abstainer of blood, which brings shame upon him from other vampires and vampire women. Despite being an outcast, this unconventional vampire decides to create a new movement of anonymous and militant vampires who promote drinking only water. He campaigns relentlessly under the moonlight, spreading the message that "vampires should only drink water, as blood always brings more blood." However, his fellow vampires fear that this dangerous doctrine might tempt lazy vampires who prefer drinking blood mixed with soda. One stormy night, five vampire bulls attack and bite him as an act of justice, leaving him wounded and forming a puddle of water. Interestingly, the attackers, against their own will, realize the pleasant taste of the mild water that flows from his wounds. From that night onwards, vampires and vampire women abandon the consumption of blood. Red blood cells become history, and water becomes their preferred choice, thanks to the noble sacrifice of the abstaining vampire. In the end, the abstaining vampire is revered as a martyr. Despite being initially shamed, his rebellious challenge led to a transformation in the vampire community, where blood is no longer sought after, and water reigns supreme.
